We have a strong reputation of professionalism and excellence within the local government sector. This is balanced with a sense of fun, innovation, respect and customer service.

The City of Gosnells is administered by the Chief Executive Officer and four Directors.

Human resources and front-line customer service are part of the CEO’s Organisational Performance team.

The directorates and their responsibilities include:

Business Services

This area oversees the City’s finances, information technology services and support, as well as support for Elected Members. Business Services also manages governance, environmental health, ranger operations and emergency service response.

Community Engagement

A wide range of assistance and quality programs are delivered by Community Engagement, including arts and culture, funding and sponsorship, heritage, community safety and environmental sustainability initiatives. Services are also provided for seniors, people with disability, families, children and young people. Community Engagement also manages the City's four libraries, marketing, communications and community events.

Infrastructure

Infrastructure is responsible for the delivery of best practice design, construction and maintenance of infrastructure assets including community buildings, roads, footpaths, drainage and parks. This also includes the management and operation of community facilities, including the Don Russell Performing Arts Centre (theatre) and Leisure World (pool and gym). Fleet and waste management are also undertaken by Infrastructure staff.

Planning and Development

The main responsibilities for Planning and Development include providing statutory planning approvals, undertaking strategic land use planning and building services. This team also manages economic development and future planning initiatives.
