The City of Gosnells is administered by the Chief Executive Officer and five Directors. The Directorates and their responsibilities include:
A wide range of assistance and programs are delivered by the Community Engagement Directorate, including arts and culture, funding and sponsorship, heritage, community safety, disability services, family, children, youth and senior services. The Community Engagement Directorate is also responsible for the City's four libraries, pool and gym (Leisure World) and theatre (Don Russell Performing Arts Centre) for our community.
The Corporate Services Directorate manages the City's finances, human resource practices and information technology services and support.
Elected member support, environmental health, building control, ranger operations, emergency service response, our front line customer service team and communications and marketing are all found within the Governance Directorate.
The Infrastructure Directorate is responsible for the delivery of best practice design, construction and maintenance of infrastructure assets including community buildings, roads, footpaths, drainage and parks. Fleet and waste management are also undertaken by Infrastructure staff.
Four main business areas feature in the Planning and Sustainability Directorate. These include providing statutory planning approvals, undertaking strategic land use planning, co-ordinating environmental and supporting activities and economic development.
