About this position
An opportunity exists for a motivated and organised individual to join the Operations Centre team as Fleet Scheduler. In this key role, you will coordinate the servicing, repairs and parts management for the City's diverse fleet of vehicles, plant and equipment.
This is an 18-month contract position based at the City's Operations Centre in Maddington.
In this role, you will
- Program fleet and equipment into the system for scheduled maintenance
- Coordinate parts purchasing, including service kits and workshop materials
- Maintain accurate electronic workflows, service records, and asset registers
- Oversee inspection and repair schedules for fleet items
- Liaise with other departments to ensure timely servicing and compliance
What we are looking for
To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Sound technical knowledge and experience in fleet scheduling or a similar role
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computerised scheduling and business systems
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and meet deadlines
Essential requirements
- Driver's licence
- National Police Clearance (no older than three months). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
Desirable requirements
- Mechanical trade certificate or relevant industry experience
