About the position

The City of Gosnells is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Heavy Rigid Truck Driver to work as a Waste Collection Operator within the Waste Services Team.

Our Waste Services Team have an opportunity available for a motivated and proactive individual with experience driving heavy rigid trucks to join the team. As one of our Waste Collection operators, you will play a vital role in ensuring a quality waste collection service for the City of Gosnells. You will use your experience operating a range of waste collection trucks to provide friendly and professional customer service to the City's residents and customers.

What we are looking for

To be successful, you will need to be able to demonstrate:

  • A commitment to safety
  • Experience in the safe operation and user maintenance of a variety of specialised waste collection trucks and loaders, to provide an efficient, timely and cost-effective waste collection service.
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a close-knit team, exercising initiative and sound judgement.
  • Ability to prioritise and monitor personal workload to achieve specified timeframes.

Essential requirements

  • Current "HR" Class driver's licence
  • Current Police Clearance (less than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role, but it will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
