Engineering Support Officer (Operations)

About this position
Based at the Operations Centre in Maddington, this position plays a key role in supporting all aspects of the City's engineering operations through the delivery of high-quality technical and administrative services. This role is well-suited to someone who thrives in a team environment, enjoys problem-solving and is committed to delivering excellent and efficient customer service.
In this role, you will
- Coordinate data entry and process internal customer requests
- Request Dial Before You Dig plans for engineering projects
- Prepare estimates and quotes for private drainage connection and other works
- Create mail merges and correspondence related to upcoming road works
- Raise, amend and process purchase requisitions and orders
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
What we are looking for
To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Sound understanding of computerised business systems and electronic records management
- High-level proficiency using MS Office, particularly Excel
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Essential requirements
- Driver's licence
- National Police Clearance (no more than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
Desirable requirements
- Experience in a similar role in a Civil Engineering Operations environment
