About this position

Join the City of Gosnells as a Seniors Program Assistant and help deliver engaging programs and events for our 55+ community.

The dedicated Seniors Services team provides a range of tailored programs and events that support senior health, active aging and social connection. As a Seniors Program Assistant, you will play a key part in delivering these programs to the City of Gosnells Seniors 55+ community.

If you are eager to contribute to programs that are inclusive, engaging and meaningful for older adults, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact.

In this role, you will

  • Assist with room and event set-up
  • Facilitate group activities and support program delivery
  • Gather feedback and assist with program evaluation
  • Carry out administrative tasks related to the role

Please note: This is not a respite or aged care position and does not involve direct personal care to patrons.

What we are looking for

To be successful you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience assisting in a range of community programs, particularly those targeted to seniors over 55 years
  • Ability to work effectively as a team member
  • Ability to work flexible hours which may include evenings and weekends
  • Strong initiative and a positive attitude

Essential requirements

  • Drivers' licence
  • First Aid qualifications
  • National Police Clearance (less than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
