Administration Assistant - Waste Services

  • Full time (76 hours per fortnight)

About this position

Based at the City's Operations Centre in Maddington, this position provides administrative support to the Waste Services team by managing the bin system database and assisting the Waste Coordinator and Supervisors with tracking customer requests, updating daily and monthly statistics and taking meeting minutes.

This role also involves liaising with residents and contractors, providing timely and accurate information, and contributing to the consistent delivery of quality customer service.

What we are looking for

To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in an administrative or customer service role
  • Good computer literacy skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritise and manage tasks independently and meet deadlines

Essential requirements

  • Driver's licence
  • National Police Clearance (no more than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition

Desirable requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role within Waste management or depot facilities
