About this position

At the City of Gosnells, we are looking for a leader who knows how to build more than just roads - someone who builds trust, teamwork, and results.

If you are a seasoned professional, with proven experience directly supervising civil construction teams and the drive to lead contractors, while delivering high-quality infrastructure, you will be at the helm making an impact every step of the way.

This is not just about overseeing projects; it is about setting the standard for stormwater and road construction across our community. You will bring your depth of knowledge and ability to influence and lead civil infrastructure teams with confidence, ensuring projects run smoothly, on time, and within budget.

Your experience as a civil construction supervisor will be your foundation, but it's your ability to lead, motivate, and communicate that will set you apart.

What we are looking for

We need someone who thrives on responsibility - someone who can:

  • Lead from the front and inspire and guide teams to meet challenges head-on
  • Navigate complexities and bring a solutions-focused approach to civil engineering projects
  • Collaborate effectively to work closely with diverse teams, contractors, and stakeholders to drive success

Essential requirements

  • Driver's Licence
  • White Card
  • Current National Police Clearance (less than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
  • Qualifications in Civil Engineering and/or Frontline Management are not essential but will be highly regarded.

The City reserves the right to conduct interviews before the closing date.

In return we can offer you

A challenging and rewarding position, competitive salary, additional superannuation contributions, professional development opportunities, as well as the opportunity to work in a friendly environment and contribute to a forward-thinking Local Government organisation.
