About this position
The City is seeking an organised and highly motivated individual to deliver innovative landscape architectural design and manage project delivery as part of a dynamic team shaping the City's public spaces.
This is a key role within the landscape design and construction team, contributing to the successful delivery of the City's capital landscape program.
Based at the City's Operations Centre facility in Maddington, you will provide end-to-end project management for public open spaces, streetscapes and natural areas - translating concepts into construction-ready plans and seeing the works through to completion.
What we are looking for
To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Relevant experience in delivering landscape-based design projects
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and related graphics software
- Experience in preparing landscape technical drawings using AutoCAD
- Experience in oversight of the construction and contract administration phase of landscape works projects
- A strong work ethic with proven ability to work autonomously.
- Ability to establish and maintain position working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Essential requirements
- Degree qualification in Landscape Architecture
- White Card
- Driver's licence
- National Police Clearance (no older than three months). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
Desirable requirements
- Experience with producing and using gantt charts
- 3D modelling skills using Google Sketch Up, Revit or similar.
- Hand sketching and perspective rendering skills.
