About this position
This is a great opportunity to join the City's award-winning Drainage team!
In this role, you will bring your hands on knowledge and ability to perform drainage work to a high standard. You will collaborate with your team to complete drainage alterations tasks such as:
- Installing and maintaining stormwater pipes, drainage structures, and side entry pits.
- Locating and identifying underground services that may conflict with works.
- Maintaining and repairing the City's drainage network using various plant, vehicles and equipment as required
What we are looking for
To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Relevant experience in a drainage related position.
- A solution-based approach to the maintenance of stormwater pipes and associated structures.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with others and work closely with diverse teams, contractors, and stakeholders to contribute to the success of the business.
Essential requirements
- HR Driver's Licence
- White Card
- Current National Police Clearance (less than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
Desirable requirements
- Current Basic Workplace Traffic Management and Traffic Control certificate
- Ability to use a table PC or similar
- Enter and Work in Confine Spaces certification
- Excavator and/or Backhoe certification
