About this position
A new exciting opportunity is available at the City to join the professional Information Services team and apply your training expertise to support staff across all areas of the organisation.
In this position, you will deliver training to City officers on IT systems and tools, particularly in the Microsoft Office 365 product suite and other common and emerging technologies. You will also support training and change management initiatives related to IT governance, cybersecurity and information management.
In addition, you will assist the Service Delivery team by helping to triage support requests and ensure staff receive effective and customer-focused assistance.
What we are looking for
To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Sound knowledge of training concepts, course development and training delivery
- Broad knowledge of desktop software and information technology
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strategic thinking to deliver creative solutions and contribute ideas for business improvement
- A high level of planning and organisational skills
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships with a diverse range of people
Essential requirements
- Driver's licence.
- Current National Police Clearance (less than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
Desirable requirements
- Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment and/or significant experience in a similar role
- Significant experience in the design and facilitation of technology-focused training programs
- Exposure to Local, State or Federal Government
- Exposure to the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) IT service delivery framework
- Exposure to the Prosci ADKAR organisational change management model
