About the position
Join the City of Gosnells as a Plant Operator/General Hand and play a key role in delivering annual construction projects. You'll transport materials between worksites, support the team with hands-on tasks, and take ownership of precision measuring, plan reading, and quality control. Operate a range of machinery including skid steer, front-end loader, rollers, and water cart—all while helping shape the city's future.
What we are looking for
Applicants should be able to demonstrate:
- Relevant experience in a similar role in civil engineering
- Delivering quality and desirable service levels in the context of the position requirements.
- Demonstrate an ability to contribute and apply analytical and problem-solving skills in matters relating to road construction.
- Proven ability to prioritise and monitor personal workload with minimal supervision to achieve agreed outcomes within specified timeframes.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member, exercising initiative and judgement whilst working with minimal supervision.
Essential requirements
- Current MR class driver's licence
- White Card
- Current National Police Clearance (less than three months old) Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but may be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
