We're seeking a strategic and driven leader to guide our Engineering team in delivering high-quality road and drainage designs across a diverse portfolio of city projects. In this pivotal role, you will:
- Lead and inspire a skilled team to deliver innovative and practical design solutions for roads and drainage systems
- Drive strategic planning and oversee the successful execution of our capital works and operational programs
- Champion exceptional customer service by supporting the team in resolving road and drainage enquiries with professionalism and care

What we are looking for
To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Strong leadership skills to head a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience in project and operational management, including experience in the preparation and management of substantial budgets.
- A knowledge of external road funding such as Metropolitan Regional Road Group and Department of Transport grants
- Extensive experience in the latest road and drainage design requirements in line with Austroads and Main Roads WA.
- Proven written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Well-developed analytical capabilities, to ensure accurate and concise engineering advice is provided and legislation is interpreted correctly.
Essential requirements
- Current driver's licence.
- Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Civil Engineering.
- Current National Police Clearance (less than three months old) Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
