Business Services Support Officer

  • Full time hours (76 hours per fortnight)
  • Nine-day fortnight option

About this position

The City is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated individual to join its Business Services Support team.

Previous experience in a diverse administrative position will see you excel in this role providing administrative support to the City's Governance and Compliance branch. The role also provides Council support functions including agenda preparation and minute-taking at various Council and Committee meetings.

Reporting to the Senior Governance Officer, you will be rewarded with a supportive team environment where your strong administrative skills will see you thrive in this role.

What we are looking for

To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Substantial experience in an administrative role
  • Sound understanding of Microsoft Office products and computerised business systems, including electronic records and complaint management.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organisation and the public in all matters relevant to the position.
  • Proven ability to prioritise, monitor and coordinate personal workload within a team environment, with minimal supervision.

Essential requirements

  • Current National Police Clearance (less than three months old) Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
