About the position
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will analyse and document business processes to support the design, implementation and improvement of system workflows and solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to capture requirements, develop process models and ensure workflows align with organisational objectives, while actively contributing to the City's digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
This role will have a strong focus on two high-priority organisational projects, offering the exciting opportunity to influence significant system reform and contribute to modernising critical business functions.
The first project involves leading end-to-end requirements definition and supporting the tender process for a new HR/Payroll system.
The second project focuses on documenting and transitioning the ‘as-is' state of a heavily customised business system, working across 10-15 functions and multiple stakeholder groups to create a unified and accurate view of current operations.

To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Experience in business process analysis, mapping, and workflow design
- Experience working with legacy or highly customised systems
- Experience preparing requirements for major software procurement or tenders
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills across varied audiences
- Strong ability to manage competing demands and multiple projects independently
- A customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
Essential requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Commerce or a related discipline, and/or significant industry experience
- Driver's licence
- Current Police Clearance (less than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role, but it will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
In return we can offer you
- A competitive salary and additional superannuation contributions
- Opportunities to grow your skills and career
- A supportive and forward-thinking work environment where your contributions shape the community's future.
