About the position
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Development Contribution Advisor to join the City's Future Planning Branch.
In this role, you will be responsible for the administration, implementation and review of the City's Development Contribution Arrangements and Guided Development Schemes, ensuring compliance with the State Government planning framework.
You will work closely with developers, landowners, internal stakeholders and external agencies to support equitable infrastructure delivery and effective financial management.
This position also offers the opportunity to review, streamline and improve systems and processes, contributing to a more efficient administration of the City's financial arrangements and enhanced customer service outcomes.
Part-time or reduced hours may be considered for the preferred candidate, depending on skills, experience and business needs.
What we are looking for
To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:
- Proven experience in development contribution administration, infrastructure funding, land-use planning or a related field
- Strong negotiation, stakeholder engagement and customer service skills
- Well-developed analytical, financial management and problem-solving capabilities
- The ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Essential requirements
- Driver's licence
- Current Police Clearance (less than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role, but it will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition
Desirable requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in urban and regional planning, accounting, financial management, civil engineering or a related discipline
- Knowledge of Western Australian planning and land administration legislation
- Experience with subdivision clearance processes
