About this position

An opportunity exists for a motivated and organised individual to join the Operations Centre team as Supervisor - Fleet Workshop. In this key role, you are responsible for the efficient operation of the City's fleet workshop, and the comprehensive and effective maintenance and servicing of the City's vehicles and plant.

What we are looking for

To be successful, you will need to be able to demonstrate:

  • A commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, developing and bringing together operational or technical teams.
  • The ability to build a positive team culture, establish accountability and improve service performance.
  • Experience in using electronic scheduling/fleet systems for servicing of vehicles and plant.
  • Experience in managing the daily operations of the Fleet Workshop, ensuring timely and effective completion of repairs and maintenance for all light and heavy fleet vehicles and plant.
  • Use of the Technology One - CiAnywhere system is desirable but training will be provided.

Essential requirements

  • Current Police Clearance (no more than three months old) Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
  • Current HR driver's licence
  • Possession of Trade Certificate III in Automotive Engineering (Mechanical) Heavy duty or equivalent experience and qualifications.
